Accessibility statement
We want The Strategist’s Brief to be usable by as many people as possible, including readers who rely on assistive technology. This statement sets out where we stand and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Our target standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is the standard widely used to judge whether digital services are accessible.
What we do
- We use semantic, structured markup so screen readers can navigate headings and sections.
- We maintain colour contrast that meets the AA threshold across text and interface elements.
- Interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus state.
- We respect the reduced-motion preference, so animation is muted for readers who ask for it.
- Images that carry meaning are given descriptive alternative text.
- The site reflows to small screens and to increased text size without loss of content.
Known limitations
As a publication in active development, some areas are still being improved. Embedded data widgets and third-party checkout pages may not yet meet our target in full. We are working to close these gaps and will update this statement as we do.
Tell us about a problem
If you encounter a barrier, we want to hear about it. Email editor@thestrategistsbrief.com with the page, the problem, and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days and to offer the content in an alternative format where we can.
Review
We review this statement regularly and after significant changes to the publication. The effective date above reflects the most recent review.
